The Corral del Obispo was first produced some years ago, as a fresh and fruity wine, exceptionally easy to drink. But something special in that first vintage left a clue that one day this wine would become one of the great wines. With its old Mencia vines growing in the vineyards of Valtuille, under the influence of the Atlantic, it was clear that this wine would become a dark, juicy, and solemn one. Without losing its joyful character, the Corral del Obispo has gained in complexity and seriousness over the years. It bears the same label as before and its light-hearted appearance may confuse you a little, but one sip is enough to realize what kind of wine we have here.
