2018 ARGOT CABERNET SAUVIGNON SUGARLOAF, NAPA VALLEY

Notify me when this product is available:

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Sugarloaf Vineyard displays a rich, darker purple color as well as solid notes of ripe black fruits, dark chocolate, cedarwood, graphite, and leafy herbs and tobacco. It’s nicely balanced, full-bodied, has a wonderful sense of purity, and a great finish. It’s a classic 2018 with it pure, focused, age-worthy style. I’d give bottles 3-5 years of bottle age, and it should evolve for 20+ years or more. It’s impressive and probably the finest version of this cuvée I’ve tasted from the estate, surpassing even the 2015 and 2016.
Estate Notes: 2018 took Sugarloaf’s terroir to a new level. The cool growing season, coupled with October’s extended warmth, led to a
perfectly-ripe crop, which produced a classic wine. Impeccably pure black and red fruit, freshly-tilled earth, classic Napa notes of cigar leaf and eucalyptus, and a prominent hit of all-spice; and a well-honed structure to encourage aging. 150 cases.
