2018 LANDY SAUVIGNON BLANC, RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY, CALIFORNIA

The 2018 Landy Vineyard Petite Sirah is a ripe, plush wine bursting with dark blackberries, spices, licorice, and new leather. The aromas and flavors build effortlessly to a round, explosive finish imbued with the essence of graphite, flowers, cassis, minerals and crushed rocks. This is an especially ripe, flashy wine loaded with depth and pure energy. In 2017 the vintage turned out to be another blockbuster vintage.  The yields in 2017 were very low throughout the North Coast.  The grapes at Landy vineyard had very small berries and clusters that blessed us with intense fruit.  The wine was aged in 67% New French Oak for 16 months.  It was bottled unfined and unfiltered.  It should age gracefully for several decades as great Petite Sirah’s can
