2018 LEGENDS & TALES COLOSSUS RED BLEND, PASO ROBLES CALIFORNIA

Thee 2018 Colossus is a blend of 40% Graciano, 30% Carignan, 15% Grenache, and 15% Syrah. Fermented in cement and stainless steel, the wine sees 12 months of aging in French oak. Despite the wine’s blend of Spanish and French grapes, this is ripe and pleasure-bent all the way. The bouquet is ripe and forward with notes of cassis and blackberry followed by more complex nuances of baking spices, vanilla, smoked meat, and roasted herbs.
The palate is full-bodied, ripe, and pure with a soft texture, fine tannin, and a long, satisfying finish.
