Traditions of wine-making of the family of Rutini originated in the beginning of the 19th century in Italy. Then Francisco Rutini made wines for the inhabitants of his hometown of Ascoli Piceno. His only son, Felipe Routini, emigrated to Argentina and there he continued the work of his father. In 1885, he founded the company Bodega La Rural and became a pioneer in Alto Valle de Uco. His principle of "work and perseverance" made it possible to create a solid foundation for the family business. After the death of Felipe in 1919, the management passed into the hands of his descendants. The company has joined the traditional approach and innovation in production to achieve a high international level of quality of its products. On the territory of the plant there is a real architectural gem, an impressive wine museum, in which more than 4500 original exhibits, evidencing the development of winemaking for the last 100 years, have been preserved.
