Giulia Negri earned the nickname "Barolo Girl" when she took over her family's well-established Barolo estate at the ripe old age of 24. Fresh out of college, where she studied management and biology, and inspired from a trip to Burgundy, where she fell in love with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and winemaking, she returned to her hometown of La Morra to begin her winemaking career. She started small, making micro-cuvees with each vintage as she learned the ropes. By 2014, Giulia had taken over all vineyard management and winemaking at the estate. Her team consists of only 4 people who run the vineyards, make the wine, and sell it all over the world.
