This highly seductive sweety from the Pyrenées Orientales bowled me over when I first tasted it. Attractively packaged and with a beautiful golden hue, its nose is intense with characteristic honey, rosewood and citrus overtones. In the mouth it’s clean and equally rich with caramel/toffee flavours but never strays over to the wrong side of sweet. Drink as a luxurious apéritif, with chocolate desserts, or with its perfect match.
