The nose has a great complexity of aromas, blackberries, dark cherries and dried fruits with a pot of spices, clove, star anise, tons of vanilla and sweet plum pudding spices. The palate is plush and dense, sweet tannins supporting oodles of dark fruit with chocolate, coffee and caramel notes peppered with those toasty oak spices through to the finish. Serve up with any roasted red meat, particularly lamb or game.
