Well covered cherry red. Complex nose with intense aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant. Notes of graphite and liquorice on a spicy background. On the palate it is unctuous, powerful, with well-polished tannins, balanced and elegant. Aftertaste full of sensations. An excellent companion for roasts, oxtail, soupy game rice and red meat. As originality, and with a perfect harmony, Gran Calzadilla and dark chocolate. We make this paid wine in our small family winery with its own Denomination of Origin. Its limited annual production, barely 80,000 bottles, allows Pago Calzadilla to use a combination of traditional processes and ecological agriculture that are appreciable in the final quality of the wine.
