Working alongside Michel Rolland for nearly 15 years, Marcelo Pelleriti has progressed from undderstudy, to protégé to world-class master winemaker. Frankie Baroudi with his own style and finesse compliments Marcelo’s fine work to finish the blending process to his exacting standards, and Viola… we introduce the MEGA Malbec Artist series from PURO UNO. Malbec to be reckoned with!

Achieving the highest quality and ratings in both Argentina and Bordeaux, with 100 points from Robert Parker for his Chateau Le Gay, super high points for his La Violette and some of James Suckling’s highest scores ever for his Monteviejo and Marcelo Pelleriti wines in Argentina, PURO UNO is both honored and blessed to have Marcelo on our winemaking team.

Our wines have now progressed to the next level and can easily compete with the best of the best of malbecs, or in fact, simply with ANY serious New World red wine on the planet. Bold statement, we know, but just check them out if you can fine them berore they are sold out. Our three new Mega Malbec Artist Series wines will impress first with the art, but then will overwhelm with the abundant fruit yet refined and perfectly balanced acidity and tannins. With over three years of aging in new French oak, in the best cooperages available anywhere, using only single vineyard fruit from 103 year old vines, these are no ordinary wines.
