2015 MAD VIOLETS DESSSERT LATE HARVEST RIESLING, WILLAMETTE VALLEY OREGON 375ML

This fruit comes from a blend of two vineyards in the Eola-Amity AVA and is made in the dessert wine style; we froze the fruit to concentrate the sugars and then proceeded with the usual slow low temperature fermentation to preserve the aromatics. At bottling we added a small amount of carbonation to elevate the acidity and provide a buoyancy to this happy little sparkler. The result is a bright, sweet concoction which will go happily with a warm summer day, or evening. The aromatics are floral with a lovely undertone of minerality. The pallet is sweet and lively with peach and apricot nectar backed up with a spritz of lemon zest.
