The Llopart family has been producing wine for over six centuries. In 1887 the Llopart family released their first Cava. This makes them the second oldest Cava house in Spain.

The winery owns 148 acres of vineyards divided into three areas: Rocallis, Costers, and Fossil. Rocallis vineyards which face south-southwest are at the highest altitude at 1279 ft. above sea level, the varieties grown are Parellada, Macabeo, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. Costers vineyards face west-northwest and are mostly Chardonnay, Macabeo, Parellada, and Monastrell. Fossil vineyards are at the lowest elevation; between 918-1017 ft. The varieties found here are Xarel-lo and Macabeo. Rocallis vineyards are planted on calcareous mother rock. Costers vineyards are of calcareous clay composition. The subsoil of Fossil vineyards consists of silica and grey loams.

All these features shape the perfect setting for vine cultivation and for growing healthy concentrated and balanced grapes. The vineyards are sustainably farmed.
