80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. Classic and classy. Chateau Chapelle d’Aliénor is a proud new addition to our Bordeaux selection. This is simply fast ball claret, and scratches the itch for an earthy, satisfying cool weather red to pair up with hardy winter cuisine. This property encompasses 52 hectares planted on gravel, limestone-clay. The wine is vinified in stainless steel before 8 months in once-used-barrel for 20% of the wine. Whatever the recipe, it seems to bring the wine into perfect balance. Fresh red fruit is punctuated by dusty earthiness and just a hint of spice.
