2018 ROBLEDO, SAUVIGNON BLANC, LAKE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

This is one of the great Latino success stories in the Sonoma County wine industry. Reynaldo Robledo immigrated to California from his native Mexico in 1968. He was only 16 years old. He began working in the vineyards and, over many years, learned the aspects of growing wine grapes. Eventually, Reynaldo started a vineyard management company. This enabled his family to purchase vineyards in Sonoma and Lake County. They started the Robledo Family Winery in 2003, but still sell the majority of their grapes to other wineries. Their vineyards total 350 acres. Very impressive!
